Before her political career, Marni was recognized in the insurance industry for over 15 years for her strategic insights and her knack for uniting diverse groups to tackle complex challenges. She now serves as a Regional Asset Manager, overseeing six malls, five of which are in Michigan. Marni's public service career began when she was elected Mayor of Cape Coral, Florida, from 2013 to 2017. She was the first woman and first Democrat in decades to hold office in the staunchly Republican Lee County during a politically charged era.
