You deserve a choice... To have a voice in shaping Michigan’s future !

Marni Sawicki was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan, by hardworking parents - A Kellogg’s millwright and a secretary who has served on the UAW board for years —who instilled in her the values of unity and standing up for what’s right. Education played a pivotal role in shaping her future, as she earned her MBA from the University of Phoenix. After spending 15 years in corporate insurance, Marni transitioned to managing six malls, five of which are located in Michigan. With a strong track record of creating and making business work for people, she has an ability to lead and innovate. As a former mayor, Marni led through crises, championed transparency, and fought for policies that uplifted families.

Her Most Valuable Lesson: Leading as the Mayor of Cape Coral, Florida

She was the first woman to lead one of Florida's largest cities, Cape Coral, Florida, a deeply red county. That wasn’t always easy, but she got things done: Modernizing the city, improving water quality, leading through Hurricane Irma, fighting for marriage equality, making government more transparent, and much more. Here's the truth: Marni is running for governor because... Michigan needs someone who knows both boardrooms and union halls. Someone who’s managed budgets and weathered storms – both literal and political. Someone who’ll be direct about what needs fixing.

Modernized the city

We led initiatives that drove economic growth, improved infrastructure, and integrated technology-driven solutions to enhance city services.

Improved water quality

We prioritized clean water initiatives and implemented sustainable solutions to improve water quality, protect our waterways, and ensure a healthier future for our community.

Led through Hurricane

We led the city of Cape Coral through Hurricane Irma with decisive action, ensuring swift emergency response, immediate recovery efforts, and unwavering support for our residents in their time of need.

Fought for marriage equality

We proudly fought for marriage equality, advocating for inclusivity and equal rights to ensure every resident felt valued and respected in our community.

Made government transparent

We made government more transparent by ensuring open communication, increasing public access to information, and holding leadership accountable to the people we served.

Why I’m Running : Marni Sawicki in Her OWN WORDS...

Hey Michigan - I'm Marni Sawicki, and I'm running for governor because... we need real change, not just promises. Having served as mayor of one of Florida's largest cities and worked in corporate America, I know what it takes to get things done. So, why am I running? Because just like when I ran for mayor of Cape Coral, I see problems that need fixing. And if you don't like something, you change it. It's that simple. This campaign is about more than just promises - It's about action. Together, we can build a Michigan that champions innovation, integrity and inclusivity. I am ready to lead this charge and invite you to join me in this journey to shape the future of our beloved state.

A New Direction for Michigan - No More Politics As Usual

Getting Our Economy Moving
I've been in both business and government. I know what works:
✅ Create jobs that actually stay
✅ Help small businesses grow
✅ Build an economy that works for everyone, not just the well-connected
✅ No more empty promises about jobs - let's create real opportunities.

Making Government Work For You
What I learned as mayor - if you can't measure it, you can't manage it. I'll bring:
✅ Real transparency (not just talk)
✅ Actual accountability
✅ Leadership that listens
Because government should work for you, not the other way around.

Fixing What's Broken
Our infrastructure is crumbling and housing costs are out of control. Just like we did in Cape Coral, we need to:
✅ Fix our roads and bridges
✅ Make housing affordable
✅ Build for the future, not just patch the past

Taking Care of Our Veterans
This is personal for me. My husband served six years in the Army, and my son is in the Army Reserves. When I say we need to take care of our veterans, I mean it. They deserve:
✅ Healthcare that actually works
✅ Support when they need it
✅ Respect, not just lip service

Marni Sawicki Governor

Here's the bottom line : Michigan has everything it needs to succeed - location, resources, and most importantly, hardworking people. What we're missing is leadership willing to make tough decisions and get things done. Just like when I transformed Cape Coral - I'll stand up for what's right, even when it's not popular. Because that's what real leaders do. Time to stop talking about Michigan's problems and start fixing them. Let's get to work.

Marni Sawicki,
Candidate for Governor.
